Even the best fertilizer can be made better with Vibelsol DMPP Technology

Vibelsol is based on the globally proven and established nitrification inhibitor DMPP . Developed by scientists at BASF, DMPP is one of the most effective nitrification inhibitors of all.

VIBELSOL DMPP MODE OF ACTION

Vibelsol DMPP can inhibit the activity of nitrosomic bacteria (Nitrosmonas), which effectively prevents and delays the natural transformation of ammonium nitrogen (NH4+) to nitrate nitrogen (NO3-) , and greatly increases the ammonium nitrogen nutrients absorbed and used by crops. Vibelsol DMPP has a long soil retention period and can inhibit nitrosomnas bacteria for a certain period of time ( 4 to 10 weeks ) , which significantly improves and extends the fertilization effect. The Nitrogen Fertilizer Stabilizer / Booster – DMPP technology effectively addresses nitrogen loss and promotes environmental protection. This advanced solution significantly reduces volatilization loss of nitrogen up to 80% and denitrification loss by up to 63%, ensuring efficient nitrogen utilization in crops. By incorporating urease inhibitors and nitrification inhibitors such as DMPP, this technology enhances nitrogen retention in the soil, thereby increasing nutrient availability for crops and reducing environmental impact. This innovative approach optimizes fertilization efficiency, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices, higher yields and better quality of crops .

On average, only 50% of applied nitrogen is absorbed by plants.Despite its positive properties, the use of nitrogen in agriculture can also have a negative impact on the environment. For instance, nitrogen can contaminate groundwater in the form of dissolved nitrates or be released into the atmosphere as nitrous oxide.

Stabilization of ammonium nitrogen with the help of Vibelsol

The addition of Vibelsol to ammonium nitrogen based fertilizers slows down the conversion rate of ammonium to nitrate considerably. The active ingredient, DMPP, keeps the level of ammonium stable for a longer time by inhibiting the action of the specific bacteria. This prevents the nitrogen from leaching out of the soil, meaning it is protected and available to plants just when they need it. In addition, heavy rain results in a much higher risk of nitrate leaching, a scenario in which the performance and benefits of Vibelsol are particularly important.

Advantages of DMPP Technology
  • Increased Crop Yields: Vibelsol ensures nitrogen remains in the root zone, available to plants for a longer period, resulting in higher yields.
  • Improved Crop Quality: By reducing nitrate losses and promoting ammonium nutrition, Vibelsol enhances nutrient uptake (e.g., Mn, Zn, Si), leading to better crop quality.
  • Nitrogen Fertilizer Savings: Studies have shown that Vibelsol can reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer required, resulting in cost savings for farmers.
  • Reduced Fertilizer Applications: The delayed release of nitrate can often reduce the number of applications needed, saving time and labor.
  • Enhanced Operational Management: With Vibelsol, farmers can optimize their fertilizer use, leading to more efficient and sustainable farming practices.
  • Minimized Nitrate Leaching: Vibelsol's active ingredient, DMPP, slows down the conversion of ammonium to nitrate, reducing the risk of nitrate leaching into groundwater.
